Change of mobile number through Internet Banking

A Retail Internet Banking customer (Resident customer) having active ATM cum Debit card which account is mapped with internet banking username, can change his/her mobile number online without visiting branch.

Step by Step Process:-
1.) Login to OnlineSBI (https://retail.onlinesbi.com/retail/login.htm)
2.) Go to 'Profile' tab.
3.) Click on 'Personal Details' link.
4.) Enter profile password
5.) Display Name, Email ID and mobile number registered in INB will be displayed.
6.) Click on the hyper link 'Change Mobile Number-Domestic only (Through OTP/ATM/Contact Centre)'.
7.) A new screen 'Personal Details-Mobile Number Update' with three tabs 'Create Request', 'Cancel Request' and 'Status' will appear.
8.) Input 'new mobile number'.
9.) Input Re-input 'new mobile number'.
10.) Click on 'Submit' button.
11.) A pop-up message 'Verify and confirm your mobile number xxxxxxxxxx' will appear on the screen.
12.) Click 'Ok' to proceed.
13.) A new screen with following three different modes for approval of change of mobile number will be displayed;
A.) By OTP on both the Mobile Number
B.) IRATA : Internet Banking Request Approval through ATM
C.) Approval through Contact Centre
(A) By OTP on both the mobile number:- If you possess both the old and new mobile number, then the mobile number change can be approved online using OTP.
1.) Click the radio button against the option 'By OTP on both the Mobile Number'.
2.) Click on 'Proceed' button.
3.) Select the account by clicking the radio button, for which you possess the debit card.
4.) Click on 'Proceed' button.
5.) In the next screen the ATM cards associated with the selected account will be displayed.
6.) Select the ATM card and click on 'Proceed' button.
7.) In the next screen, State Bank of India's Payment Gateway will be displayed.
8.) Enter the card details (card number, valid thru/Expiry Date, Cardholder's Name, PIN and the characters visible in the box).
9.) Click on 'Submit' button.
10.) Verify the information and Click on 'Pay' button.
11.) On successful validation, INB system will send OTP along with reference number on your old as well as new mobile number.
12.) You need to send SMS from BOTH (old and new) mobile numbers in following format ACTIVATE <8 digit OTP value> <13 digit reference number> to 567676 within 4 hrs. e.g. ACTIVATE 12345678 UM12051500123
13.) Upon successful validation of the OTP value and reference number, the new mobile number inputted by you will be copied in INB, CBS and ATM. A successful message in this regard will also be displayed to customer on his mobile number.
(B) IRATA : Internet Banking Request Approval through ATM :-
1.) Click the radio button against the option 'IRATA : Internet Banking Request Approval through ATM'.
2.) Click on 'Proceed' button.
3.) Select the account by clicking the radio button, for which you possess the debit card.
4.) Click on 'Proceed' button.
5.) In the next screen the ATM cards (Active and Inactive) associated with the selected account will be displayed.
6.) Click on 'Proceed' button.
7.) In the next screen, State Bank of India's Payment Gateway will be displayed.
8.) Enter the card details (card number, valid thru/Expiry Date, Cardholder's Name, PIN and the characters visible in the box).
9.) Click on 'Submit' button.
10.) Verify and Click on 'Pay' button.
11.) On successful validation, the following message will be displayed to the customer on the screen;"Thanks for registering mobile number with us. The status of your request is pending. Kindly complete the registration process according to the option selected by you. Click here to see the guidelines for process completion."
12.) A SMS containing "Reference No. for Change/Update mobile number is : UMXXXXXXXXXXX and your IRATA reference number is XXXXXXXXXX" will be sent by INB system on your new mobile number.
13.) Please visit any State Bank Group ATM, swipe your card, select the 'Services' tab and input your PIN.
14.) Select 'Others' tab on the ATM screen and choose 'Internet Banking Request Approval' option.
15.) Input the 10-digit reference number for approval of the request.
16.) On successful completion of the process, the request (change of mobile number) will be fulfilled.
17.) Upon successful validation of the OTP value and reference number, the new mobile number inputted by you will be updated in INB, CBS and ATM. A successful message in this regard will also be displayed to customer on his mobile number.
(C) Approval through Contact Centre :-
1.) Click the radio button against the option 'Approval through Contact Centre'.
2.) Click on 'Proceed' button.
3.) Select the account by clicking the radio button, for which you possess the debit card.
4.) Click on 'Proceed' button.
5.) In the next screen the ATM cards associated with the selected account will be displayed.
6.) Select the ATM card and click on 'Proceed' button.
7.) In the next screen, State Bank of India's Payment Gateway will be displayed.
8.) Enter the card details (card number, valid thru/Expiry Date, Cardholder's Name, PIN and the characters visible in the box).
9.) Click on 'Submit' button.
10.) Verify the information and Click on 'Pay' button.

13.) Bank's Contact Center person will call you within next 3 working days on your new mobile number only.
14.) Kindly ask for the reference number from Contact Center person before sharing your personal details.
15.) Kindly do not share reference number with anybody.
16.) Contact Center will verify your identity over call by asking certain information.
17.) On successful verification of information, the new mobile number inputted by you will be copied in INB, CBS and ATM. A successful message in this regard will also be sent to you on your new mobile number.
View Status & Cancellation of Request:- You can view the status of your request of updation/change of mobile number through INB.
1.) Login to OnlineSBI (https://retail.onlinesbi.com/retail/login.htm)

4.) Display Name, Email ID and mobile number registered in INB will be displayed.

7.) Click on 'Status' tab to view the present status (Pending/Successful) of your request to change mobile number through INB.
8.) If you want to cancel the request, please click on 'Cancel Request' tab and choose the request.
9.) Click on 'Cancel Request' button to cancel the request.
10.) A message 'Your Reference Number UMxxxxxxxxxx is successfully cancelled' will be displayed on screen.

Independent Sales Organization
(ISO):
An ISO is an Independent Sales Organization that represents a Bank or Bank/Processor alliance. The ISO has an agreement to sell the services of the Bank or Bank/Processor alliance, and is allowed to mark up the Fees and sign up merchants.

-These entities are classic Middle Men, as they are
typically not performing the services sold. They typically match the banking
services they sell with Front End solutions for accepting transactions in order
to offer merchants a working system.
-Their Front End Systems can be anything from
Verifone or Hypercom POS Terminals to PC based Dial-Out Credit Card Processing Software, to Shopping Carts paired with a
Secure Payment Gateway. (In all cases, the Front End solution must be
compatible with the Processor in order to function.)

Processor:

to gain access to the Visa and MasterCard networks. When a Processor or other
entity has made such an arrangement with a Sponsoring Bank to resell their

This allows the Processor to issue a Hold on funds in this account when fraud has been detected or an excessively large number of returns is received. Merchants with good credit and history can usually meet the expectations of ACH Processors for covering returns and so are not always required to keep a reserve account. In cases where a reserve is required, the minimum-reserve-balance in the account is set at about 20% of the anticipated processing volume. New merchants are usually allowed to build up their reserve by sending in transactions which are not withdrawn until the minimum reserve balance is achieved; after that, the merchant is allowed to withdraw the excess funds for transfer to their home town bank.Â

Secure Payment Gateway companies help other Processors conduct secure business on the internet using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

-They provide a system that passes credit card data,
authorization requests, and authorization responses over the internet using
encryption technology.
-The transaction information is sent by the Payment
Gateway secure server via leased line to the credit card network where the
validity of the card is checked and the availability of funds on that account
is verified. An authorization code is returned via leased line to the Payment
Gateway; the authorization is encrypted by the Payment Gateway and transmitted
in encrypted form to the web server of the merchant, which triggers fulfillment
of the order.
-Rather than try and create their own Secure Web
System, many Banks and Bank/Processor alliances will use a Secure Payment
Gateway Provider to perform this task for them.

-In order to conduct secure business on the web, the Secure Gateway Provider runs a Secure Host System, and sells/licenses software modules that allow Shopping Carts and other applications to request and receive Credit Card Authorizations via their system using encrypted communications. A Third Party Processor is an independent processor that is contracted with by a Bank or Processor to conduct some part of the transaction processing process.

running and hosting networks of Point Of Sale (POS) terminals connected to

Settlement of credit card transactions with Visa and MasterCard so that
